The Nick Mutuma melodrama, Sincerely Daisy, premieres for an international audience on Netflix
Sincerely Daisy, premieres today, October 9th, on the international streaming service Netflix.
The movie had previously been scheduled to premiere at a later date this year, but the official date for the release was revealed on October 5th.
When the news of the movie’s streaming on Netflix was announced on September 29th, the Kenya Film Commission lauded the move on Twitter tweeting,” Another Kenyan film heads for the global stage.” (SIC)

The film by Giraffe Productions comes after previous successful productions Plan B and You Again. The trailer to the movie dropped in early September.

The film directed by Nick Mutuma stars Ella Maina, Sam Psenjen, Mbeki Mwalimu, Brian Abajah, Foi Wambui, Serah Wanjiru, Jackie Matubia, Faiz Francis Ouma, Muthoni Gathecha and James Webbo.
Announcing the film on Twitter early in September, Nick Mutuma, the director of the film said, “A year ago today we released the trailer for our first Film “You Again”, today we are proud to share with you the trailer for our new film ‘‘Sincerely Daisy”. I hope that you enjoy it as much as we did making it.”
The film is written by Natasha Likimani, well known for popular productions such as Veve, Mali and You again.
Sincerely Daisy joins “Poacher” on the streaming service while Disconnect is set to stream on Netflix on October 16th.
