Onesmus Masaku, lawyer whose hand was chopped by policewoman dies

Onesmus Masaku, the Makueni-based lawyer whose hand was chopped by a female policewoman, constable Nancy Njeri, in a suspected love triangle has died.

The advocate died on Sunday morning at the Kenyatta National Hospital where he was receiving following the brutal attack at his house in Wote town by the policewoman.

His death was confirmed by the Law Society of Kenya council member Carolyne Mutheu Muthiani and Southeastern LSK representative Justus Mutia.

He was receiving treatment for the injuries he sustained on Wednesday night, October 7.

The suspect, Njeri, is still being held at the Makueni Police Station after the court gave police 14 days to complete investigations into the attack.
